Windows 10!

Greetings Earthlings,

While you’ve been lulled into a sense of your computer never changing, Microsoft has decided to shake up your world once again.  Announcing the arrival of Windows version 10 by the end of July.

You might have missed Windows 8, …yawn…, but progress we must and that means a change to what you see on your screen.  Be prepared for a look that’s designed for touch screens.  That probably the most important piece.  In our view, Windows 10 is really the finished product of Windows 8.  What happened to 9?  Microsoft isn’t talking…   Here’s the punchline: Windows 8 looks like your cell phone or tablet.  Icon city.

You can still get all your stuff done.  Heh, and you can clear away all the clutter of “charms” (icons) that continuously remind you of the temperature, last gambling stats on the New York Stock Exchange, what Nike thinks you should be excited about, and even what Beyonce wore last night.

One thing you might notice is that a Windows update is advising you to update to Windows 10.  Will look like a little notice on the lower right of your screen.  Most new computers are coming with free upgrade to 10.  And we’re not sure but if you have 7 or 8, you’ll get  free upgrade too.  Guess they want us to move to it.

So this is mostly an inevitable cosmetic change not to be feared, just like Windows 8.  Just think “touch”.  Will it make you more productive?  Time will tell.

p.s.  Now is a really good time to buy stock in screen cleaners….
